Canceling an order
Contents
Sometimes you want to back out of an order placed a bit too quickly, or change your mind about a site. Here's what's possible on the advertiser side, and from what point it no longer is.
As long as the order isn't accepted
You can cancel an order as long as it hasn't yet been accepted by the publisher, meaning it's still at "sent" or "in negotiation" status in your order tracking. Simply trigger the cancel action available on the order in question.
Once the order is accepted
As soon as the publisher has accepted your order, cancellation from your account is no longer offered: the order then follows its usual path (writing, validation, publication), which you can follow from your order tracking. If a specific situation justifies interrupting an already-accepted order, contact the support team via live chat to look into your case in detail — since every situation is different, there's no automatic procedure at this stage.
After cancellation
A canceled order can then be archived from your account, alongside completed or rejected orders, to keep a clear view of your active orders. Nothing stops you from going back to search for a better-suited site and trying a new order.
Not sure before canceling?
If the sticking point is a disagreement over price rather than a genuine wish to back out, consider negotiation first: it often helps you find common ground without starting from scratch in the catalog jungle. And if it's simply the publisher's response time that worries you, take a look at our article on following up and order expiration before canceling too hastily.
